On Friday, St. Andrew's College 1st Soccer scored eight times in four 40-minute games, en route to a 3-1 record and a second place finish at the Holy Trinity Spring Classic.
Â
At the Bradford Sports Dome, the Saints opened the day with a 2-1 win over St. Mary's High School, followed by a comfortable 3-0 victory over Georgian Bay Community School. Forward Josh Henriques '26 scored in both matches, with captain
Issa Abdu '24 also chipping one home in the opener. Winger Seb Madeiros '25 found his range versus Georgian Bay, with a pair of composed strikes.
Â
SAC then battled the hosts from Holy Trinity High School. The Saints conceded through an unlucky deflection in the opening moments, but settled in well and responded with a quality 20-minute spell that saw them come just shy of goal on three occasions. Trinity converted a penalty with the final kick of the game for the 2-0 win.
Â
In the Saints' tournament finale, SAC jumped back into the driver's seat and controlled play once again, cruising to a 3-0 victory over Eastview Secondary School.
