Just four days after securing their second straight CAIS National Invitational Championship crown, the Saints locked up top spot in CISAA with a 2-2 come-from-behind draw with visiting Villanova College.

The road weary Red & White got off to a sluggish start on Wednesday, falling behind 2-0 — before the match was even 15 minutes old. But despite the deficit, SAC 1st Soccer kept the pressure on and controlled much of the following 75 minutes, which included plethora of quality scoring opportunities in the second half.

With just ten minutes to go, a scrappy sequence in the Villanova 18-yard box feel to the feet of winger Jarel Ndombele '26, who laid the ball off to Jayden Walters '26 and he cooly curled it into the right corner to put SAC on the board.

The Saints kept coming, but it wouldn't be until the last kick of the game that they would find the equalizer. It was Ndombele and Walters linking up once again. A clever cut back and then cross into the box from Ndombele found the head of Walters, who grazed it into the goal to rescue SAC's undefeated regular season at 6-0-1.

A shoutout also goes to U16 midfielder and call-up Santiago Bracamontes Lance '29, who provided a spark off the bench in the final 15 minutes for the 1st Soccer Saints.

With their first place CISAA finish, SAC (15-1-3) earns a first round playoff bye as they go in search of the 'double double' — two straight CAIS and CISAA titles.

The Saints will open their post-season run in semifinal action at home on Monday, November 3rd, with their opponent still to be determined. With a semifinal victory, SAC would host the CISAA final at Yuill Field on Wednesday, November 5th.
