St. Andrew's College showcased its depth and dominance in a 7–2 victory over Victory Honda on September 26 at La Brier Family Arena and SAC wasted no time asserting control.
The scoring began with Nate Feiner's slick finish at 12:17 of the first period, assisted by Andy Huang and Ryan Murray. "We've been working on puck movement all week," Feiner said. "It felt great to see it pay off early."
Tucker Sinclair added another just minutes later on the powerplay, and Murray capped the first with a goal of his own. "Everyone was dialed in," said Murray. "We knew what was at stake and came out flying."
Jake Di Capo was a standout in the second period, scoring twice with help from Alex Carscadden, Noah La Gambina, and Jack Young. "I just found open ice and trusted my teammates," Di Capo said. "They made it easy."
Marcus Magri and Captain Finn Kearns rounded out the scoring in the third. "We stayed aggressive and didn't let up," said Kearns. "That's the kind of hockey we want to play every night."
Goaltender Noah La Gambina was a wall in net, stopping 23 of 25 shots. "The guys in front of me were blocking lanes and clearing rebounds," La Gambina said. "It was a full team effort."
Despite 39 penalty minutes, SAC's penalty kill held strong, neutralizing Victory Honda's power play. Head Coach David Manning praised the team's composure: "We stayed focused, even when things got chippy."
The same two teams square off again Saturday afternoon at 12:00 PM.
