On a snowy Saturday afternoon, St. Andrew's College 1st Soccer closed to within a goal of visiting Aurora FC and just missed on a trio of point blank chances, before falling 4-1 to the visitors.
The Saints spotted Aurora an early 2-0 advantage, but came roaring back in the second half. Seb Madeiros '25 got SAC on the board and through the relentless wing play of
Grayson Coburn '24, the Saints should've buried a few more — including a solid header on the doorstep from forward
Nolan Martin '25.
It was an unlucky outcome, after a dominant second stanza for the Saints.
Midweek, SAC travelled to Bill Crothers SS for a spring tournament event, where they topped Neil McNeil 2-1 through a late goal from
Pax Cortizas '26. The Saints went 1-2 on the day, falling 2-0 to the hosts and 3-0 to Cardinal Carter.
The Saints have this weekend off for cadets and the formal, before two home scrimmages. SAC will be back at Yuill Field to host Bill Crothers SS on Wednesday, May 1st, followed by a Saturday, May 4th tussle with Juventus Toronto.
Go Saints!
