On Saturday, JV soccer travelled to Upper Canada College for their homecoming and a date with UCC that saw a lot of action. The Saints were looking to keep their momentum going following the 5-0 win against De La Salle at SAC on Wednesday.Â
Â
Your JV Soccer Saints brought their hard-nosed but elegant game on the road to UCC this morning.
Â
Starting strong with a goal in the first 3 minutes of play, the boys dominated the first half building a 3-0 lead. UCC found a way to claw back into the game in the second half employing a "kick and chase" tactic that gave them enough success to tie the game. A few yellow cards did not help their cause as well.
Â
However, resilient and confident, your Saints regained control of the game scoring two more in the final 15 minutes of play to seal the 5-3 victory.Â
Â
Missing several starters, today's group should be congratulated for their poise and efforts! Goals were scored by Andrew Zaccak, Marco Montmurro, and Charlie Williams with the hat-trick! Special shout-outs to Charlie, Noah Law, Evan Smith and Marco for particularly strong games.
Â
The JV Saints showed determination that must be commended through their strong response when facing adversity. JV soccer looks to continue their strong run of play, as they'll be looking for a fourth-straight win against Appleby College.

Go SAINTS!
