The JV Basketball Saints hosted the CISAA playoffs on Wednesday, February 27. The first game of the day was against Country Day School, and the JV Saints led most of the game by staying committed to their zone defence, never letting CDS gain momentum. A big shout-out to the home crowd that made a ton of noise and chaos when opposing players were on the free-throw line!

Final Score: SAC 50 – CDS 36

After winning against CDS, the Saints advanced to the final where they faced Lakefield College School - the reigning champions. From a physical and mental standpoint, this was a very challenging game. Playing in a back-to-back, the players had to dig deep and use everything they had left to compete. On top of that, the Saints were down most of the game, at one point being down by 16 with 3:30 left in the third quarter. Nonetheless, they fought hard and never gave up. The game came down to the final play; the Saints were on defence and LCS was inbounding the ball with less than five seconds on the clock. The Saints were looking to get a quick foul, but were instead intercepted the inbound and pushed it up court to Carter White, who hit an incredible game-winning buzzer-beater from well beyond the arc. Saints win the CISAA Championship!
